The City provides curbside trash collection to residents living inside the City of West Lafayette's sewer district. We provide weekly sanitation services to houses and apartments of 4 units or less.

How to Start Your Collection Services

Starting your collection services will happen automatically for residents within the West Lafayette Sewer District after you begin your water service with Indiana American Water Company at (800) 492-8373. Billing for trash and recycling services will be added to your wastewater bill. If you have a well, please contact our Billing Department at (765)775-5140 to set up service.

Please follow these rules:

  • All items should be at your property line by 7:00 am the day of collection to avoid a missed pick up.
  • Must be in approved trash can.
  • We will pick up one (1) large item in addition to the approved trash can(s).
  • Consider donating items that are still usable.
  • 50 pound weight limit
  • Latex paint should be dry and placed at the curb with the lid off.
