On June 12, 2026, Mayor Erin R. Easter, Clerk Sana Booker, Greater Lafayette Commerce, and other community leaders gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking for 1st Source Bank's new West Lafayette branch at 1215 Potter Drive.

For Mayor Easter, the occasion was especially meaningful. Her relationship with the 1st Source Bank team began several years ago at Greater Lafayette Commerce, where she first met many of the leaders who helped bring this project to life. Today’s groundbreaking marks 1st Source Bank’s fourth location in the Greater Lafayette area.
“A bank does not build a fourth location somewhere it doesn’t believe in. This is an investment in Greater Lafayette and in where Greater Lafayette is headed,” said Mikel Berger, President and CEO of Greater Lafayette Commerce.

As West Lafayette continues to grow, investments like 1st Source Bank’s create new opportunities for residents and strengthen our local economy.
