THANK YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON! THE MUNICIPAL POOL IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2025 SEASON, PLANNED REOPENING DATE IS SCHEDULE FOR MAY 2026.  

The West Lafayette Municipal Pool is located at 1200 N Salisbury St, behind Happy Hollow School off Salisbury Street and Kingston Drive.

The Municipal Pool has three heated pools with a 250,000-gallon capacity.

• The baby pool has a depth of less than one foot.
• The intermediate pool is 1 1/2 to 3 feet deep.
• The large pool is 3 1/2 to 12 1/2 feet deep with two low diving boards. This space is supervised by lifeguards.

In addition to the water space, there are three shade structures, picnic tables, as well as beach and lounge chairs.

When the pool is open, an OPEN flag flies by the tennis courts. 

The pool hours are subject to change due to weather and low attendance. Join the email or text list from GovDelivery to be notified of closures.

Pool Admission

Single Admission Per Session:

• Adult Lap Swim: $ 7.00
• Public Swim: $7.00
• Ages 2 and under: FREE

Season Passes:

• Individual Lap Swim Seasonal Pass: $125
• Individual Public Swim Seasonal Pass: $125
• Family Public Swim Seasonal Pass: $275

We will be selling the passes like a membership to the outdoor pool. Each person on the membership will receive a key tag. Passes will be available to purchase at Margerum City Hall or the John R. Dennis Wellness Center starting on May 5.

Pool Hours

• Adult Lap Swim:  Monday-Friday**: 11:00 a.m. - 1:50 p.m. (Must be 16 and older.)
  • **only 2 lap lanes from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Adult Lap Wim: Saturday-Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.
• Public Swim:  2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Diving Well Closed: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• Single Lap Lane: 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (daily)

A 10-minute break will occur at the top of each hour. 

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian. All patrons are encouraged to read the rules and regulations that are posted at the pool, or they can be read HERE. 

Water Aerobics Class

Beginning Monday, June 9^th: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m
$7 per class or free for John R. Dennis Wellness Center members when scanning your membership card.

Swim Lessons

All classes are first-come, first-served from the online portal: CivicRec .

• Group Lessons: $40 per one week session (Monday-Friday)
• Private lessons: $100 (4 - 30 min lessons)

• AAU Diving Membership required (Club name is Greater Lafayette Area Diving).
• $20 one-time fee with club code W3AFB4.
• Proof of AAU Membership needed for first practice (bring a copy or screenshot).

Pool Rental

Private Rental:
The West Lafayette Municipal Pool is available for private rentals when it is not open to the public!

Pool rentals are required to be scheduled no less than two weeks in advance of the desired rental date.  Private rentals start at $225 (plus tax) for two hours on weekdays and $250 (plus tax) for two hours on weekends.

Pool Picnic Shelter Rental:
Host a party during regular pool hours! You will have your own private shaded area with picnic tables. Two-hour rentals are available for up to 20 guests for $180+tax. Additional guests can be added for $10 per person with a maximum of 30 guests.

Any day of the week! (Weather permitting, if the pool is closed due to weather rental will be cancelled)
