At West Lafayette Parks and Recreation, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn how to swim. We offer a wide variety of swim lessons for all ages and skill levels.

Swim Lessons

Information

Swim lessons are available for children ages 6 months (with a parent) through 11 years at the John R. Dennis Wellness Center Pool and the Municipal Pool (seasonal).

Registration

All lessons are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Details for each session, including age groups and class times, are available through our online registration platform, CivicRec↗. You can access CivicRec by clicking the "Register for Lessons" button on this page.

Diving Lessons

Information

Diving lessons are available for individuals ages 5 and up at the Municipal Pool (seasonal).

All divers are required to have an AAU Membership through the Greater Lafayette Area Diving Club. Proof of membership (copy or screenshot) must be provided by the first day of practice.

Membership Cost: $20 (one-time fee)

Private Swim Lessons

Information

Looking for a more personalized swimming experience? Private swim lessons are perfect for individuals with a fear of the water, those who want one-on-one attention, and anyone seeking flexible scheduling that fits their lifestyle.

Private lessons are only provided at the John R. Dennis Wellness Center.
