Starting Services

Before beginning, be sure to have the following information and documents available. These will be required for all types of applications. 

1. Service Address
2. Proof of Ownership - Closing statement, warranty deed,  or prepossession document
3. Closing Date
4. Proof of Commercial Tenancy (if applicable) – Commercial lease agreement 
5. Proof of Business Entity (if applicable) – Articles of Organization (LLC), Articles of Limited Partnership, or Articles of Incorporation
6. Balances for previous services must be paid in full
7. Select the correct application link from the list below, based on property type

Cancellation of Services 

Before beginning, be sure to have the following information and documents available. These will be required for all property types.

1. Utility account information, including account number, customer number, and service address
2. Proof of Ownership Termination – Closing statement or warranty deed
3. Closing Date
4. Proof of Commercial Tenancy Termination (if applicable) – Commercial lease agreement 
5. Forwarding address for final bill
6. Select the Cancellation of Service Form link below

Please note, final utility bills will be issued approximately 30 days following service stop date.  Unpaid balances may result in collection action.

Buying Residential Property: For residential property purchases, either to occupy or for rental use, complete the Application Form – Residential Property and attach the required documents.

Buying Commercial or Multi-unit Property: For commercial or multi-unit property purchases, either to use or lease, complete the Application Form – Commercial or Multi-unit Property and attach the required documents.

Forms – Cancel Services

Service Cancellation: (All Property Types): To stop services, for all property types, complete the Cancellation of Service Form and attach the required documents.

Third-Party Management or Bill Payor Authorization: Property owners, residential or commercial, that will be utilizing a third-party management company, payor service, or commercial tenant to pay utility bills will need to complete the Third-Party Authorization Form for the Utility to begin sending monthly bills to another party. This form must be completed by the property owner and all charges will be issued to the property owner until the Utility receives the completed form.
