City Reopening & Restrictions

  • City Hall

City Hall will remain open to the public for essential business only.  Face coverings are required.  There will be no public gatherings for the foreseeable future.  We will not be accepting in-person payments.  Payments should be made online, by mail, or left in the secure payment drop box at the city parking lot (located at 2329 North Salisbury) or the drop box in the Margerum City Hall parking lot at 222 N Chauncey Ave.  For questions, please call (765) 775-5100.

  • West Lafayette Police Department

The West Lafayette Police Department continues working hard to keep our community safe and ask for your help to keep our employees safe. We have made recent changes to certain services in order to better assist our citizens.

-Please practice social distancing if entering the building.

-Facial masks are required.

-No more than 1 person at the records window at a time.

-VIN checks are limited to one per day.

-Fingerprints will be done by appointment only.  To schedule an appointment, please call (765) 775-5210 or email our Records Division.

-We will no longer be accepting in-person payments for parking tickets at WLPD.  Tickets may be paid online or at one of the secure payment drop box at the city parking lot (located at 2329 North Salisbury) or the drop box in the Margerum City Hall parking lot at 222 N Chauncey Ave.

-Parking appeals can be filed online.

  • Parks and Recreation

Until further notice, all West Lafayette Parks & Recreation programs and activities are suspended. This closure includes the dance recital, workshops, rental groups, and all events at the Lilly Nature Center. Current participants can either choose to prorate class fees or hold any remaining amount as a credit for future classes. Cumberland Park restrooms are closed; however, the Happy Hollow restrooms are open at this time.  All playgrounds are open.  We encourage you to use the parks for hiking, biking, running, and walking, but please make sure to practice social distancing. Social distancing does not have to mean isolation. Please continue to safely enjoy the outdoors.

  • Riverside Skating Center
We will issue refunds/credits to anyone who purchased tickets after the initial 25. The credit can be seen in the account information on Civic Rec. We will remain at 25 person capacity until the county is no longer RED and stays that way for 2 weeks.

-Masks will be required at all times while on the premises, both indoors and outdoors

-Contact tracing and temp checks will be done upon entering

-The vending area will be closed and no food will be permitted

-Building capacity will be limited to 10% 

-Maximum capacity on the ice will be 25 people

-Locker area will be closed this season

-Tickets and skate rental must be purchased online prior to arrival. (click the Register Now button on the homepage Parks and Recreation / West Lafayette, Indiana) With this being the first time selling tickets online, we will begin the season by only making the first weeks tickets available for purchase.  

-The indoor warming area will be for changing into skates/shoes only, no spectating from inside the building.  There will not be any tables setup this season

  • Lilly Nature Center will be closed until further notice.
