Lilly Nature Center

Lilly Nature Center

Celery Bog Nature Area and Lilly Nature Center

The Celery Bog Nature Area is open dawn to dusk, with no admission charge. It contains 4.3 miles of paved trails and 2.5 miles of natural paths through the woods, savanna and prairie. Many sections of these trails take you right beside the marsh.  Interpretive signs, audio informational units and three observation decks are associated with these trails to make your hikes more enjoyable. Bicycling is permitted only on the paved trails.

This 195 acre property is home to the Lilly Nature Center that provides an opportunity for youth and adults to experience nature and learn more about the environment around them. It also provides an excellent field trip destination for schools, youth groups and university classes. The Nature Center is open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Wed – Sat and 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sun. The Center is closed on various holidays and Purdue home football game days.
