About the Center

Admission:

  • $5 per person per session
  • $3 skate rental
  • $7 (plus tax) per pair for skate sharpening (Professional Blademaster Sharpening Machine)
  • $40 Family Punch Card - buy 8 admissions get 2 free, a savings of $10
  • Wednesday night is family night!  Stake rental is free with each paid admission.*

Riverside Skating Center closes 15 minutes after each skating session.

Rental rates for the ice-skating rink are $210 (plus tax) per two hour session for weekday use and $235 (plus tax) per two hour session on the weekend, price does not include cost of skate rental. Maximum number permitted in rental group is 110. Facility is available for rent when it is not open to the public. Call the Morton Center at (765) 775-5120 to reserve your rink time. Private and Semi-Private Lessons:  Why not sign up for private instruction? Private lessons are great for first time skaters as well as those who are looking to improve specific skills. Lessons are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Call or stop by the rink to fill out a request form. 
  • Private: $20 per 30 minutes.
  • Semi-private: $14 per person per 30 minutes.

Tuesday Drop-In Lessons: Aren't feeling confident in your skating ability? Check out our new drop-in lessons in December.  If you want to , just show up to pick up a few pointers or beginner help. This 25 minute group lesson will help both beginners and intermediate skaters improve their skating ability.  This a drop-in program, so just stop by on Tuesdays at 5 or 5:30 pm for a fun group lesson.  Cost: $12 per 25 minutes. Dates: December 5, 12, 19. 

Riverside Skating Center

Skate with Santa will be held on Saturday, December 9 from 9 to 11 am.  Santa invites you and your parents to join us for a fun-filled morning. We will enjoy donuts, hot cocoa, and skate with the jolly old elf himself.  This will be a great photo opportunity, so make sure to bring your camera!  To really enjoy this event, we recommend children be of skating age and size.  Reservations required. Fee: $13 per person (a registered/paid adult must accompany child/children). Code: 308000-01.  Register by calling the Rink (743-7465), Morton (775-5120) or the West Lafayette Parks & Recreation office (775-5110).

Dare to Bear - (Special Costume Skate) will be held on Friday, February 2, from 7 to 8:30 pm. Admission fee is $5.00 and $3.00 for skate rental. You must wear a swim suit to participate. Parents may accompany younger skaters in regular attire.  The rink will be closed to the general public during the event.  Cocoa and pizza will be provided to all survivors - while supplies last.
