The West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following camp experiences:
Let your child experience our camps and gain the benefits of friendships, self-confidence, responsibility, and fun, all while creating lasting memories. We offer camp programs for ages 6-11. (Five-year-olds are also welcome to attend if they have either completed kindergarten or have been in all-day daycare.) A morning and afternoon snack will be provided.
Parent Orientation: Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 7 PM at the West Lafayette Wellness Center. One parent or guardian needs to be in attendance.
Please note that the registration packet and the registration fee must be submitted in person at the Wellness Center in order to register for camp programs. A credit card must be on file or the camp must be paid in full to reserve the requested weeks. Camp spaces will not be held for incomplete forms, lack of payment, lack of valid credit card, or outstanding balances within the West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department. Kids' Camp Pass
West Lafayette Parks and Recreation Department is offering something new for 2022. The Kids Camp Pass is $150 per child. This pass is valid for one year and discounts the camp fees to the membership rate. The Kids Pass is a great option for community members not needing a Wellness Center membership but seeking to use child care all summer. (This pass allows discounts for spring break camp, summer camp, and winter camp. It does not apply to other Wellness Center programs.) The kids' camp pass is non-refundable.

Wellness Center Camp 2022
This camp experience is filled with games, field trips, sports, arts and crafts, guest speakers, swimming, and so much more! Campers are divided into four groups depending on age. Ages 6-8 will each have a room while ages 9-11 will be a mixed group. Dates: May 31-August 12 (No camp on Memorial Day or 4th of July.)
Registration Fee: $30/child
Weekly Fee: $120/week per child for Wellness Center members (up to two children) and $85/week for each additional same-household child.
$150/week per child for community members (up to two children) and $105/week for each additional same-household child.
Daily Drop-In Fee: $40/child for Wellness Center members and $50/child for community members. (Drops-in can only be scheduled a week in advance and are dependent upon space. There is no multi-child discount for the daily fee.)
Camp Hours: 9 AM - 4 PM
Before/After Care: 7:30 AM-9 AM and 4 PM-5:30 PM

Head Camper Program
The Head Camper Program has been developed to allow teens ages 13-15 the ability to gain valuable leadership skills through involvement in the West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Summer Camp program. Participants will obtain work experience in a day camp setting, while still being allowed to participate in camp activities, as well as additional activities unavailable to campers. The program will introduce participants to the process of applying and interviewing for a job, and if chosen, the participant will have a leg up on the competition when it comes to future job experiences.
Qualifications:
A. All eligible participants will be at least 13 years of age on the first day of camp, and not older than 15.
B. Candidates must be willing to undergo an interview process, similar to the one that all Summer Camp staff goes through.
C. Candidates must possess a high degree of maturity, responsibility, enthusiasm, and reliability.
D. Candidates must be willing to lead by example and act as role models for the younger campers.
E. Interviews will begin in March.
Dates: June 1-August 6 (no camp on May 31 or July 5)
Weekly Fee: $60/week for Wellness Center members and $75/week for non-members
