Tapawingo Drive Near the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge
📍 Roads Affected: A portion of Tapawingo Drive
📅 Closure Dates: September 10 and September 11
🚧 Reason for Closure: Sidewalk repairs.
Multiple Street and Alley Closures: 2026 Global Fest
📍 Roads Affected:
- W. Columbia St. (N.Chauncey Ave to the parking garage entrance to the east.)
- N. Chauncey Ave. (North St. to W. Columbia St.)
- W. Columbia St. (N. Chauncey Ave. to Northwestern Ave) Northwestern Ave. (Between North St. and State Street)
- Alley: N. Chauncey Ave to Northwestern Ave (100 Block & 200 Block)
- Alley: Northwestern Ave. to North St. (100 Block)
📅 Closure Dates: September 18 to September 20
🚧 Reason for Closure: To allow for the annual Global Fest celebration around City Hall and the West Lafayette Public Library.

County Road 425 and County Road 50 W (Salisbury St.) Closure
📍 Roads Affected: County Road 425 and County Road 50 W (Salisbury St.). Through traffic will be restricted from 4303 N 50 W to Burnley Drive.
📅 Closure Dates: August 31 to November 30, 2026
🚧 Reason for Closure: Contractors will complete construction of a new roundabout at County Road 425 and County Road 50 W (Salisbury St.).
Traffic Impacts: No through traffic will be permitted through the work zone. Local residents will continue to have access to their homes.
Detour Route: Traffic will be directed along Kalberer Road to Soldiers Home Road, then to County Road N 75 E and County Road 500 N in both directions.

North Chauncey Avenue Reconstruction Project
Updated: Continued significant concrete failures required the full demolition and reconstruction of the roadway. Crews are actively rebuilding it, and this corrective work is being completed at no additional cost to the City.
The road is expected to reopen on September 1, provided the concrete meets required testing standards. The sidewalks remain fully open, and the roadway is open to foot traffic.
📍 Road Affected: North Chauncey Avenue between North Street and Columbia Street
📅 Closure Dates: June 25, 2026, to September 1, 2026
🚧 Reason for Closure: To allow for the reconstruction of the roadway. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the project. Sidewalks will remain open to provide continued access to City Hall and the West Lafayette Library.

Wood Street Closures for The Standard Project (Landmark Properties)
📍 Road Affected: West Wood Street and adjacent sidewalks.
📅 Closure Dates:
- October 3
- October 24
- November 28
- December 5
🚧 Reason for Closure: Contractors will temporarily close West Wood Street on scheduled weekends to complete concrete pours.
Closures begin Friday evening before each scheduled pour and continue until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, when the road will reopen to its current one-lane traffic configuration.
An additional full closure is planned for December 21–29 to allow crews to remove a crane.
