Riverside Skating Center closes 15 minutes after each skating session.

Tuesday "Drop-In" Group Lessons:  Aren't feeling confident on ice skates or can't skate?  Check out our new drop-in lessons in January and February.  If you want to just show up to pick up a few pointers or need beginner help. This 25 minute group lesson is for you!  Our staff is waiting to help both beginners and intermediate ice skaters.  This is a drop-in program so fee; free to stop by on Tuesdays at 5:00 or 5:30 pm for a fun group lesson.   Fee:  $12 per 25 minute lesson.  Choose your time: 5-5:25 pm or 5:30-5:55 pm.  Dates:  January 16, 30;  February 6,13, 20, 27.

Learn to Skate Lessons: The purpose of this program is to introduce the basic skills of ice skating using a variety of safe and fun techniques that build confidence and encourage participation at the recreation level and possibly beyond.  these lessons are designed for any child who has never taken lessons before or wants to improve on previously learned basic skills.  Students will be taught the basics of balancing, stopping and one foot gliding and will play games that reinforce these basic skills. Other skills taught include the proper way to fall on the ice and stand up again, skating forwards and backwards using sculling motions and knee dips. The lesson fee includes 3 thirty minute lessons AND 4 public skate admission passes (*Skate rental not included with passes.) Instructors:  Skating Center staff.  Date: Saturdays, January 13-27  Times: 10 am (#108000-01) 10:30 am (#108000-02  11 am (#108000-03)  11:30 am (#108000-04)  Age:  5-13  Fee: $42 
Learn to Skate One Day Clinic:  Learn to skate or build on your current skating ability.  The class will discuss safety and equipment followed by an on ice group lesson.  Basic skills of falling, gliding, dips, and crossovers will be covered, as well as skating backwards.  The second half of the clinic will be an open practice with instructors making suggestions and corrections.  Due to space limitations - only paid skaters will be allowed in the Riverside Skating Center's building during the clinic.  For more information call the Rink at 765-743-7465.  Date: Saturday, February 10 from 10:30 am-noon.  All ages.  Fee $16 (#108001-02)
Rental rates for the ice-skating rink are $210 (plus tax) per two hour session for weekday use and $235 (plus tax) per two hour session on the weekend, price does not include cost of skate rental. Maximum number permitted in rental group is 110. Facility is available for rent when it is not open to the public. Call the Morton Center at (765) 775-5120 to reserve your rink time. Private and Semi-Private Lessons:  Why not sign up for private instruction? Private lessons are great for first time skaters as well as those who are looking to improve specific skills. Lessons are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Call or stop by the rink to fill out a request form. 
  • Private: $20 per 30 minutes.
  • Semi-private: $14 per person per 30 minutes.

Riverside Skating Center

Dare to Bear - (Special Costume Skate) will be held on Friday, February 2, from 7 to 8:30 pm. Admission fee is $5.00 and $3.00 for skate rental. You must wear a swim suit to participate. Parents may accompany younger skaters in regular attire.  The rink will be closed to the general public during the event.  Cocoa and pizza will be provided to all survivors - while supplies last. Reopens from 8:30-10 pm.
