Lilly Nature Center

Lilly Nature Center in Celery Bog Nature Area is located along the Lindberg Road in West Lafayette. The Celery Bog Nature Area contains approximately 195 acres of wetlands, adjacent woods and fields. It provides an excellent field trip destination where many interdisciplinary topics can be studied by groups of all ages.

The programs are sponsored by the West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department, Tippecanoe County Park & Recreation Department, Sycamore Audubon Society, West Central Chapter of INPAWS (Indiana Native Plant & Wildflower Society), and NICHES Land Trust.

Family Environmental Fun Packs are available for checkout from the Lilly Nature Center. The packs are self-guided, self-contained hands-on investigations of the Celery Bog Nature Area. Families visit different sites to learn about the local environment. Families may need several visits to complete all of the activities in a pack. Trail Trek packets are available for those seeking a bit of adventure while using the trails systems. Click here for a Trail Trek form and here for a Trails Guide to assist you on your quest for 15 tags on the trails. Follow the clues to find the tags and use a pencil to make a rubbing on your form. Once complete, two wellness-themed phrases will be revealed. Assembled packets are also available for pick-up at the Lilly Nature Center. For more assistance in finding the tags, please click here. Hearing Loop Installed! Users with a t-coil in their hearing aid can now listen to meetings directly through their hearing aids. Please check with your hearing care professional to see if your hearing aid is equipped with a t-coil and properly adjusted.
