The City provides curbside trash pick up to residents of West Lafayette living in houses or apartments of 4 units or less. Place trash out in good quality trash bags in trash cans with lids or toters. Don't pack cans with more than 60 pounds of material. All cans should have tight lids to avoid attracting animals and insects. Have the cans/toters at your property line by 7:00 am the day of collection or risk a missed pick up. Set out no earlier than 5:00 pm the night before.
Please consider donating unwanted items that are in good shape. Goodwill now offers home pickup service (855-GW-PIK-UP or www.goodwillindy.org/pickup) in addition to their drop off facilities. Call us at 775-5242 for pickup of metal items.
The City offers 96 gallon toters for purchase for garbage disposal. The lids are color-coded: yellow for recycling; black for garbage. The 96 gallon toter costs $69.55. Once we receive your payment, we will deliver the toter. Please call 775-5242 for more information.
